Heritage Animator / Tour Guide offer a wide range of interpretive activities for various audiences along with general visitor services at Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre. The job will require animating groups of visitors and children’s workshop, performing monologues, offering guided tours of the heritage house and art exhibits, providing visitors with information on activities and local Heritage walking tour as well as participating in serving Tea in the English tradition.

• The ideal candidate is; a full time student between 18 and 30 years of age; is fluent in both official languages (English and French); has experience in animation/drama/theatre, has relevant work experience in dealing with the public, in heritage interpretation, in group animation or in tourism, has the ability to provide exceptional customer service; has strong interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills; is studying in a relevant field (history, museology, arts, drama, education, tourism, etc.); is able to perform light physical work; is willing to work flexible hours and wear a period costume. The candidate must be a team player, hardworking, honest, punctual, and have a positive attitude. You must be registered on the Young Canada Works interactive website.
