Description: This person would be responsible for providing the public with a pleasant and informative visit to the Ross Farm Museum, while carrying out assigned tasks, as part of the Ross Farm Museum's program to create understanding of our rural and agricultural heritage in Nova Scotia.
You would welcome visitors; initiates conversation rather than waits to be asked questions.
Share information with visitors, so that each visitor gains some understanding with reference to the interpretive goals of the Ross Farm Museum, according to the visitor's interests and experiences.
Tell the story of the Ross family & the domestic side of rural life during 1800's
Interpret the domestic & farming skills by doing demonstrations relating domestic skills such as making butter, cooking, helping with gardening, haying, and interpretation of static exhibits in various buildings on site.
To fulfil this responsibility the heritage interpreter must continue to improve his/her knowledge and skill by drawing information from the guides' manuals and the reference library and by requesting information and assistance from their fellow workers and coordinators.

Ross Farm Museum is located in New Ross Nova Scotia. We are a small community located an hour from Halifax where forestry is the main industry.
