Required field of study in earth science, education, Strong knowledge geology, palentology, environmental science, fossil preparation are definite assets. Skills considered assets: manual dexiterity, public speaking. This position will require periods of sitting, standing, working with the public daily to deliver information regarding the material being prepared. Also, must be able to work with coworkers and independantly. Relocation to Parrsboro NS may be necessary. Characteristics of Region
The Parrsboro Area of Nova Scotia is rurally located on the Bay of Fundy approx. 1.5 hours from Moncton and Halifax. It is a beautiful area with many beaches, museums, parks and hiking trails to explore. The Wasson Bluff site is where the oldest dinosaurs in Canada have been, and continue to be, uncovered. There are numerous shops along the main street and housing/property costs are very reasonable.

The Fundy Geological Museum along with other local sites including, Joggins Fossil Institute, Five Islands and Cape Chignecto Provincial Parks, Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy(FORCE) and other attractions and experiences draw tens of thousands of visitors each year.
