Revelstoke Museum & Archives is accepting applications for the position of Program Coordinator. The successful applicant will be a returning full-time student between the ages of 16 and 30 and will be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing programs for children and families, including the annual Heritage Explorers Children’s Program for children ages 4 to 7 and the Pre-teen Explorers Program for children ages 8 to 12. The successful applicant will be required to have a Criminal Record Check performed. Preference will be given to Post-Secondary students in the fields of education, early childhood education, history, museum studies or recreation. Intermediate computer skills are required. Experience in working with children, and in preparing and running programs, is considered an asset. Applicants are expected to study preparatory materials and to take a brief written test indicating their understanding of museum policies and procedures and their ability to develop programming for children. The job will take place at Revelstoke Museum and Archives in Revelstoke, B.C. and will begin on June 5, 2017, running for 12 weeks and ending on August 26, 2017.
