Full-time for summer, $11.75/hr.

This position would be ideal for a second or third year university student pursuing a history degree or considering pursuing a law or education degree with a background in history. Science East is a hands-on science centre as well as a museum. The goal for the summer is to deliver tours of the building and develop several interactives related to stories or interesting facts about the jail.

Qualifications
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Must be comfortable making presentations and have superior communication skills in English and French.
Must be interested in interacting with children and adults
Independent worker with strong initiative.
Strong research skills and ability to concisely condense large amounts of information.
Creative and able to think "outside of the box".

A strong history background is an asset but not required.

This position is supported by Young Canada Works Summer Employment. As such, applicants must have been a full-time student in the semester preceding this position and intending to return to full-time studies in September. They must be between 16 and 30 upon commencement of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada.
Candidates cannot have another full-time job while employed with YCW and must register in the YCW on-line candidate inventory.
