The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre, located in Capreol Ontario, is a not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to preserving the history of northern Ontario and the heritage of the lumber, mining and railroading industries through the collection, preservation and display of historical artifacts. The museum is seeking two highly-motivated candidates to act as centennial officers as the museum, alongside its partners, celebrates the town's 100th anniversary. The successful candidates will act as liaisons between the museum and its partners to coordinate, plan and implement centennial festivities. As ambassadors for the museum and the town of Capreol, the successful candidates will work alongside a variety of community partners, municipal staff and media personnel to ensure the success of special events and exhibitions throughout the summer months. The ideal candidate should be out-spoken, confident and have the ability to communicate in both official languages with an educational background in historical / museum studies, communications, media relations, tourism, event planning or education.
