The Museum Guide position is available from May 15, 2017 to September 3rd, 2017 at the rate of $11.40 per hour. The hours of work are 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm Saturday thru Tuesday. The position if located at the R. Tait McKenzie Memorial Museum located at The Mill of Kintail Conservation Area.
The position will involve guiding visitors through the museum, answering phone inquiries, and the general day to day running of the museum. The student will experience all aspects of museum life. The student must like dealing with the public and children as well as being creative. Having a good sense of responsibility is a must as at times the student will be without supervision for short periods of time. Must be hard working and punctual. Any previous museum experience would be considered an asset for the position.
