The Prince George Public Library is looking for a dedicated, reliable and self-motivated individual to develop and maintain a variety of community projects related to the public library’s heritage services. This will include conducting research, developing, marketing and hosting walking tours; compiling, editing and indexing digitized oral history material, and working on the library’s website. This position runs from May 22 to August 25, 2017.
Eligible candidates will be:
- A post-secondary student between the ages of 16 and 30
- A Canadian citizen or permanent resident entitled to work in Canada
- A full-time student intending to return to full-time studies in the fall

We are looking for:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent technology skills including standard computer programs, such as word processing, as well as Internet research skills, social media skills and digital authoring skills.
- Superior public service attitude
- Physical ability to participate in extended periods of activity, including leading the walking tours
- High level of motivation
- Ability to work under supervision or independently

Wage: $13.37 per hour, 35 hours a week
