JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Title: Bilingual Powassan Farmer’s Market Access Intern

Reporting To: Marie Rosset (PDUPL) & Bob Chenney (PFM)

Hours: May 1 to August 14, 2017 for 35 hours/ weekly

Wage: $15 per hour + 16.75%

Job Objective: The primary objective for the Intern would be to digitize all the Powassan Farmer’s Markets documents to the Library’s Our Digital World to be accessible for the public and to make promotional materials for the Powassan Farmer’s Market 30th anniversary in 2018.


Summary of Qualifications:

Background in Fundraising & Resource Development, Marketing, Communications and Business Administration.

Must meet Young Canadian Works criteria including being a permanent resident of Canada between the ages of 16 and 30 at the start date, attended school full time for the spring semester, legally entitled to work in Canada with no other full time employment during the internship

Experience working for not-for-profit organizations

Experience digitizing files and data management

Experience creating marketing materials using Microsoft Publisher

Experience with social media and Our Digital World

Excellent communication skills, oral and written—Bilingualism required

Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

Willing to live or commute to Powassan


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Digitize all documentation from the Powassan Farmer’s Market

Using Our Digital World, upload all the documentation in a logical manner

Attend and advertise Powassan Farmer’s Market Events

Weekly meetings with Marie to determine priorities and monthly meetings with Bob Chenny

Create promotional materials (print and digital) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Powassan Farmer’s Market
