Moose Jaw Pride is currently seeking applications from motivated individuals for our two Summer Events and Program Coordinator positions. We are looking for passionate individuals wanting to improve their English skills and help make a difference in our community! This position involves: assisting in the planning and coordination of our summer community events, participating as a Moose Jaw Pride representative (and resource person) at community fairs throughout the summer, and providing administrative support and supervision at our Pride drop-in centre. The Moose Jaw Pride drop-in centre offers information, resources and social supports to members of the LGBT community and their families. Training, supervision and ongoing support will be provided to the successful candidates.

Candidates must be proficient in French and have a basic English skills with the desire to improve. Preference will be given to candidates who currently reside 100km or more from Moose Jaw. Candidates must also have basic compute literacy skills and the ability to manage (or learn to manage) social media. A basic interest in the LGBT community and desire to support its development in smaller communities is ideal. Experience planning, delivering and evaluating events and programs would be considered an asset. Experience working in a supportive role with vulnerable populations would also be considered an asset.
A high school diploma is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary training in the following fields: social work, women’s & gender studies and other social sciences / humanities fields.
