Qualifications:


Post Secondary Student returning to school in the fall of 2018


Fluent in English and intermediate French languages.


Strong interest in History & Culture - Heritage & Museums


Strong Oral and Communication Skills


Self-Motivated and Team Player


Knowledgeable on conducting research on the Internet


Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs; Excel, Word programs


Be registered with Young Canada Works Program


Two References required


Details of Job Positions:


Welcoming tourists and giving personal guided tours in both official languages.


Sharing information of the diverse multi-cultural history of our community.


Share the responsibility of the day to day operation of the Willow Bunch Museum and gift shop - Collecting admissions and sales from gift shop, facilitating tours, answering telephone and taking tour bookings.


Organizing archival documents, assisting with Canda Day celebrations, research and assemble bilingual information of our co-founder of Willow Bunch, and performing any other duties as required by the Museum.


Term of Employment: May 14 to August 19, 2018


Wages: $13/hr - 40 hr/week including some weekends

Our museum is setup in a heritage building itself built in 1914 which was the Sacred Heart Convent, we have two full floors and over 4000 artifacts on display. We receive approximately 2000 visitors from all over the world. One of our main attractions is the Willow Bunch Giant EDOUARD BEAUPRE who grew to an amazing height of 8 feet 3 inches tall.
