Moose Jaw Pride is currently seeking applications from motivated individuals for our Winter Events Coordinator position. We are looking for passionate individuals wanting to improve their English skills and help make a difference in Saskatchewan! This position involves: assisting in the planning and coordination of our winter community events for youth across Saskatchewan, participating as a Moose Jaw Pride representative (and resource person) at community events, and providing administrative support and supervision at our Pride drop-in centre. The Moose Jaw Pride drop-in centre offers information, resources and social supports to members of the LGBT community and their families. Training, supervision and ongoing support will be provided to the successful candidate.

Candidates must be proficient in French and have a basic English skills with the desire to improve. Candidates must also have basic computer literacy skills and the ability to manage (or learn to manage) social media. A basic interest in the LGBT community and desire to support its development in smaller communities is ideal. Experience planning, delivering and evaluating events and programs would be considered an asset. Experience working in a supportive role with vulnerable populations would also be considered an asset.

A high school diploma is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary training in the following fields: social work, women’s & gender studies and other social sciences / humanities fields.
