The Yukon Arts Centre (YAC) is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and creative intern to join our Marketing & Development department. The Marketing & Development department is responsible for all marketing and advertising responsibilities associated with YAC performances, gallery exhibitions, and events. Additionally, the department is consistently seeking new and innovative ways to showcase the diverse and exceptional arts and culture projects that YAC has contributed to the Yukon community. YAC has the unique opportunity to engage with both mainstream southern-Canadian artists, and Northern-specific cultural projects. YAC will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary in the 2017-2018 season, providing space to share the story of the arts centre, and its history.

A knowledge and understanding of the vibrant artist community in the Yukon will be beneficial, as will the candidate's intention to build a career in the growing cultural industry sector.

Requirements: This position is funded through Young Canada Works and the Canadian Museums Association which states that students must be recent graduate who has graduated from college or university within the last 24 months at the start of employment; are between 16 and 30 years of age; legally entitled to work in Canada; and not be working 30 hours or more at another job.
