The Sundre Pioneer Museum & World of Wildlife Museum is accepting applications for the position of Museum Assistant, thanks in part to the contributions of government grant funding.

Home to the Sundre Museum and World of Wildlife Exhibit, the Pioneer Village is housed on four acres of land and features a log home, school house, barn, trapper’s cabin, teepee, ranger station and blacksmith shop. Partnering with local groups and organizations, the Sundre Museum organizes Aboriginal Day, Canada Day, Cultural Day and many other activities throughout the year for Sundre and Area residents and visitors.

Salary: $12.20

Hours: 35 hours per week (including weekends)

Start Date: June 15th to August 23, 2017

Duties include but not limited to:

• Opening and closing the reception center, Pioneer Village and gates

• Handle admissions and cash sales of shop

• Answer phone and monitor guestbook

• Monitor e-mail and social media

• Coordinate volunteers, set up daily schedules and events for staff

• Assist with Collections inventory and database

• General office cleaning and administrative duties

• Organize and manage special events including Canada Day
