Special Events Cultural Assistant

The Special Events Cultural Assistant will work alongside the Curator to facilitate community programs for the Chautauqua Tent Celebrations that will be taking place from August 14 – 27, 2017. The Special Events Cultural Assistant must be confident in public speaking and strong social, communication and writing skills. Knowledge of special events, community programming initiative’s, and theatre / stage operations would be an asset. Experience in Twitter and marketing is welcomed. The successful candidate may be a student studying or have completed a degree(s) in Visual Arts, Arts, Crafts, Theatre, Museum Management, Public Relations. Applicants with these qualifications will be given preference. The successful candidate must be able to work independently.

• Start Date May 29th , ending August 25th , 2017

• Pay Rate of $18.55 per hour @ 35 hours per week
