The New Brunswick Museum Communications and Marketing (C&M) Team is looking for an individual to assist as a C&M Summer Assistant for the period of May 8, 2017 to August 25, 2017.
The candidate will be working with the C&M Team assisting on regular and ongoing media activities to help support communications and marketing of exhibitions, public programming, events, activities, outreach programmes and partnerships. The candidate will identify opportunities for the promotion of museum activities, plan for communication, develop and implement promotions. The student will improve their communications, marketing, business and public relations skills.
Candidates would ideally be a student enrolled in communications, marketing, tourism, public relations, or other related field, with interest in New Brunswick natural science, history, and/or fine arts, and must be continuing their studies in the fall of 2016.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, research and writing skills are required.
Both English and French language skills, intermediate plus, are required.
Computer skills should include Microsoft Word, Internet, Social Media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Blog.
Evening and weekend work will be required. Occasional travel will be required.
Possession of a valid New Brunswick driver’s license is required.
