Under the banner of FIXT POINT Arts & Media, The Tale of a Town - Canada is a large-scale oral history project with national reach and community significance that is, at its heart, a celebration of Canada’s main streets. Its ongoing goal is to collect the oral histories of individuals and communities across Canada, creating a national archive of stories, interviews, and audio elements, and building the Canadian narrative and identity. We are looking for an intern to develop our outreach and the profile of Canada’s built heritage, by working with our community partners in built heritage to develop and execute new marketing initiatives. The intern will be trained on audio editing and design in order to create unique marketing elements from our existing archive of over 3000 Canadian oral histories.
