Position: Internet/Summer Reading Program Assistant

Duties: train individuals on internet and Microsoft Office. Assist staff with computer bookings, troubleshooting and recording statistics. Assist staff with Summer Reading Program.


University student who is proficient in using the Internet, email and Microsoft Office. Good oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Mature and able to work productively both alone and with others. Experience working with children. Tutoring experience an asset. Fluent in English.

Applicant must be legally entitled to work in Canada; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada; be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment; be registered in the Young Canada Works Inventory; be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment; not have another full-time job while employed with YCW; have been a full-time student in the semester preceding their job with YCW; and intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following their job with YCW.
