The Saskatchewan Railway Museum is now hiring for the position(s) of Historical

Interpreter/Gift Shop Assistant.

Term: 16 weeks (16 May 2016 to 05 September 2016)

Location:

The Saskatchewan Railway Museum is located five minutes west of Saskatoon on the Pike Lake Highway (#60). Applicants must have a valid driver's licence and transportation to and from the museum site.


Duties:

Assist Tour Coordinator in providing guided tours and historical interpretation to groups and individuals

on the Museums artifacts, buildings and rail cars.

Operation of Museum Gift Shop

Operation of Museum speeder(s), and mini trains

Assist Museum members in historical artifact restoration


Qualifications:

Full time University students under 30 years of age (preference may be given to Tourism or Canadian history major)

Applicant must have vehicle

CSA approved steel toed boots

Valid First Aid/CPR certificates (preferred)

Retail experience (preferred)

Applicants must be able to multitask between several different job tasks and duties,

Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and complete specified tasks

by a given deadline


Wage: $13.00/hour
