The position of Interpretive Programs Officer will begin May 8 2017 and conclude August 25 2017. We are looking for an energetic, organized, dynamic individual to fill this position. The Heritage Interpreter is responsible for developing and delivering interpretive content and working with visitors who enter our Museum and heritage buildings, providing them with excellent quality visitor experience and educational interpretive activities.

Desirable skills and qualifications include:
 A solid understanding of tourism and recreation as related to cultural heritage facilities such as The Exploration Place
 Demonstrated aptitude for working with the public in a customer-oriented facility
 A solid working knowledge of heritage interpretation, planning and related subjects
 Demonstrated teamwork abilities
 Experience with MS Office suite and/or related programs is preferred
 Excellent oral and written communication skills
 Ability to function highly in a fast-paced, on-the-go environment
 Comfort with and ability to speak to large and small audiences in a way that will hold their attention
