The Castlegar & District Public Library has a temporary position available for two summer students.

Dates: June 5-August 25: 30 hours/week, 6 hours/day
Wage: $12.00 plus 13% in lieu of benefits

Duties:
• Organize and implement the Summer Reading Club for children aged 3 - 14
• Prepare artwork and graphics in Reading Club room.
• Advertise in local papers, prepare posters, visit schools to promote program.
• Plan programs, field trips, speaker presentations, and crafts and games for all age groups.

Qualifications:
• 16 – 30 years of age.
• Successful completion of Grade 12.
• Full-time student
• Good computer skills and knowledge of basic office programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with children.
• Mature, reliable and responsible.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
