Wanted. Are you interested in history? Do you like to talk to people? We are looking for energetic young people who want to share the Klondike Gold Rush story with visitors to Dawson City Yukon. No previous knowledge of the Yukon history is needed, training is included. Job responsibilities will include doing Living History shows at Bear Creek and around Dawson City. It also includes supporting Parks Canada staff and Friends of the Klondike Corridor on jobs around Bear Creek, like setting up for events, organizing visitor tours and flipping pancakes. Another task will be to interview visitors and complete a survey with them. Skills you will acquire include historical research, foodsafe food handling, improvisation, research methods, and responsibility. No specific experience is needed, however good reading and oral skills are important.
