Wages: $15.12/hr – 37.5 hrs per week
Primary duties include the planning, promoting and facilitating of all summer programs for youth and children in the Rimbey Municipal Library. Other duties include circulation, shelving and processing of books as well as assisting patrons with various needs.
A minimum of one year post secondary education is required. Qualifications include the ability to deal well with the public, experience working with children, general knowledge of library procedures, and the ability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs. The successful applicant must demonstrate maturity, strong interpersonal skills and creative ability.

Rimbey, population 2,378, is located in Ponoka County, at the junction of Highway 53 and Highway 20 in west central Alberta. It is 55 km northwest of Red Deer, 143 km southwest of Edmonton and 208 km north of Calgary The economic base of the region is natural gas processing, petroleum and agriculture. Resources available locally include oil, sulphur, sand/gravel, natural gas, coal and clay.
