The Brant Branch of The Ontario Genealogical Society is seeking an experienced Data Base Technician to assume a 14 Week ,Student position. Extended time frames apply to this application. Student will be able to complete the 14 weeks through to March 31 2018, as agreed upon with Employer

Hours per week: 30
Wage:$15.00/ hr

Responsibilities:
:The successful candidate will work in our Family History Resource Centre to implement and manage data entry , digitization and cataloguing of the collection, and Link images with matching artifact records to contribute to the on-going development of the Digital Asset Repository and OGS images.
:Train Volunteers
:Generate Reports
:Where required, for cataloguing, move and handle archival documents
:Perform other related technical and/or research duties

Requirements: Ideal candidates will have worked in Heritage/Archival studies, Information services Field.
Minimum of 2 years in College/University related Field
Experience in data base design and management, computer software, ability to provide support for multiple users of different skill levels is essential.
