Fairfield House stands on the lakefront at the eastern end of the Loyalist Parkway in the predominately rural Loyalist Township. The Township's largest population concentration is Amherstview, which has been sprawling across what had been farmland with Loyalist origins. The 21st century suburbs make a strong contrast to the handmade Fairfield House on the lakefront. Bath, about 12 km west on the Parkway, is the closest location for two more historical stops for summer visitors.
