Overview
The Social Media Manager (Co op) supports the development and execution of the English Language Centre’s social media strategy across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for a student seeking hands on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement. The successful candidate will help grow our online presence, strengthen audience relationships, and contribute creative ideas that elevate our digital voice.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Youtube.
• Assist in developing social media campaigns aligned with marketing goals and brand guidelines.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, audience conversations, and engagement opportunities.
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely, professional manner.
• Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) and prepare weekly or monthly reports.
• Conduct competitor and industry research to identify new content ideas and best practices.
• Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to support broader campaigns.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh, creative concepts.
• Support influencer outreach and partnerships when needed.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital channels.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a post secondary program in marketing, communications, business, media studies, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and emerging digital trends.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) is an asset.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media metrics.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Creative thinker with a passion for digital content and online communities.
