The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre (VHEC) is developing a new teaching exhibition featuring highlights from the Centre’s collection of Holocaust-era primary source materials. The project will incorporate interactive kiosks and visible storage units to showcase the Centre’s collections in support of Holocaust education and remembrance. The Research Assistant will work with the Centre’s professional staff to contribute to the research and development of the project, drafting text and captions for the materials on display. The Research Assistant will also research and develop a teaching resource, school program materials and a public program related to the project.

This position requires strong research, writing and analytical skills. The candidate should have excellent communications and organizational skills and be able to work well both independently and cooperatively as part of a team. The ideal candidate should be enrolled at a university in a major or honours program in history, education, museum studies or other related field, and have an interest in anti-racism education, social justice and human rights.
