About the Position
Are you energetic, organized, and enthusiastic about working with international students and supporting language-learning programs? Grenfell Campus is seeking a Summer Program Assistant to help plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sociocultural activities for visiting English as an Additional Language (EAL) students participating in our summer programs.
Based on the beautiful Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a welcoming university environment while helping create meaningful cultural and educational experiences for program participants.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing daily sociocultural activities for visiting EAL students.
Support the delivery and facilitation of Explore summer programming.
Help source, purchase, and organize program materials and maintain a well-organized inventory.
Set up and take down equipment and materials for activities and events.
Perform related tasks as required to support the smooth operation of summer programs.
Required Qualifications
Must meet Young Canada Works eligibility criteria.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive, energetic, and comfortable working in a team setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Assets:
Experience working with students or in cultural programming.
Experience in event planning, recreation, or educational environments.
