Consultant: French Social Media and Media Relations

The PR Department is seeking a highly motivated marketing and communications professional to develop French language content and media communications for food, fashion, and life style clients. Through this position, the Consultant will:

• Learn how to develop successful media relations strategies and their execution.

• Develop and use the organizational skills required to work in a fast paced communications firm.

• Develop superior verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate in a clear, concise and compelling manner.

• Develop an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines.

• Develop intuition for interpersonal relationships and relationship building with Francophone organizations within Canada.

• Become proactive with the ability to provide prompt follow-through on projects.

• Develop a solid knowledge of MailChimp and our other frequently used programs.

• Learn proficiency in the French language with experience in all dialects.

The ideal candidate will have the following education and skills:

• An Anglophone who is proficient in reading, writing and speaking French.

• A post-secondary qualification in Public Relations, Media or Communications.

• Office software skills including the ability to use MS Office and video editing software.

• A demonstrated social media presence and expertise in one or more platforms.

• A desire to improve their ability to communicate and persuade in both French and English.

• An optimistic attitude and the ability to navigate changing priorities and circumstances.
