CAMI is currently seeking applications for an Communications Agent (1). This position will be for a period of 7 weeks with a salary of $12.00 / hour at 35 hours each week. This position is anticipated to begin on June 26th, 2017 and will end on August 18th, 2017. Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30, have been a full time student in 2016-2017 and plan to return to their studies in September 2017. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and update information on the organization’s (CAMI) website
• Promote the CAMI and Discover Grosse Ile websites
• Develop the cover for the Discover Grosse Ile 2017 celebrations
• Liaise with CAMI employees and partners in order to gather information required to produce and publish promotional/media materials.
• Prepare and produce press release documents for all CAMI announcements (new projects, summer events, etc)
• Manage and update information and engage with users on social media sites
• Prepare and assist in the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mailing
• Other duties as required by the organization related to this position

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to fluently converse in the French language
• Familiarity with computers, scanners and office equipment
• Availability and mobility during the period of employment
• Coordination skills and adaptability
• Initiative, responsible and punctual
• Excellent communication and public relations skills
• Have a sound knowledge of the English speaking community, its history and heritage
• Able to work in a team oriented environment
