CAMI is currently seeking applications for an Assistant Community Garden Animator (1). This position will be for a period of 7 weeks with a salary of $12.00 / hour at 40 hours each week. This position is anticipated to begin on June 26th, 2017 and will end on August 18th, 2017. Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30, have been a full time student in 2016-2017 and plan to return to their studies in September 2017. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The student will act as an Assistant Community Garden Animator carrying the following duties:
• Help with garden planting, de-winterizing of bees, green house planting, etc…
• Maintain garden on a daily basis (watering, weeding, etc..)
• Help with fall harvest
• Meet and greet visitors to the Garden
• Ensure the site and the minister’s cabin is keep clean and presentable for visitors
• Other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to carry out manual labour tasks
• Initiative
• Have some knowledge of gardening
• Open to learning new skills
• Able to work in a team oriented environment
