Located in beautiful Victoria, BC, the Braefoot Summer Camp Leaders will spend a super fun summer outdoors! Camps primarily run on site, however there will be field trips to local Victoria attractions and kid friendly activities each week. Ideal role for anyone with previous camp experience, an interest in working with children, and a love for the sun! For more info check out: www.braefoot.ca
Duties/Responsibilities
- Follow daily camp schedule/outline
- have all equipment and supplies ready for games, crafts & activities
- provide quality, safe activity leadership
- provide clear, concise direction for the children in the program
- model activities as required
- use child-friendly terminology and wording
- supervise field trips and ensure safe, respectful behaviour
- ensure camper well being: hydrated, sun protection, bully-free environment
- interact and play with the campers
- daily set up and clean up as required
- follow safety procedures for daily sign in/out & head counts
Requirements
- Criminal Record Check
- minimum 1 year experience working with children
- Ideally: Standard First Aid & Level C CPR
- daily healthy nutrition, water intake, hat & sunscreen
