The Saskatchewan Craft Council is seeking a CURATORIAL ASSISTANT to assist in the development of materials and information to enhance three exhibitions in the SCC Gallery.

The ideal candidate will be a university 3rd or 4th year undergraduate or graduate student in the fields of Studio Art, Art History, Curatorial Studies, or Museum Studies. Skills include above average business writing, capability with MS Office Programs, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, and a proficiency in design. In addition, the candidate will be engaging, be able to communicate comfortably and professionally with a wide range of people from various backgrounds, in written and oral form. Experience in research techniques and writing is essential, with an understanding of art research preferred. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to meet deadlines and comfortable working within a non-profit arts organization.

The position is located at the Saskatchewan Craft Council in Saskatoon. It runs from May 29 to August 18, 2017. (Starting and ending dates can be changed.) This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), at $13.12 per hour.
