Nature NB’s Nature Educator will be based in Fredericton, with travel in New Brunswick. This position will start May 8th, 2017 and end August 25th, 2017. The Nature Educator will be expected to work 35 hours/week at $12.50/hour. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

The Nature Educator will assist the Programs Coordinator in directing nature education programs and projects for the duration of the position. He/she will be involved in and assist with all components of the educational outreach program, conservation projects, as well as other programs. The Nature Educator will work towards our goal of the development of an ecologically-literate younger generation.

Qualifications:
Completely bilingual (English and French)
Experience working with children and/or background in education
Experience or interest in wildlife biology and/or environmental sciences an asset
Preference to candidates with experience in residential outdoor education
Ability to work in team atmosphere
Competent with standard office equipment including computers, copiers and fax
Access to own computer is an asset
Capable, dependable, independent, and flexible
CPR and First Aid Certification required and criminal record check (venerable sector searches) for selected candidate

Requirements:
30 years of age and under; must be a student this year and next
Canadian Citizen
