Interpreter/Guide will offer a wide range of outdoor interpretive activities for various audiences along with providing general visitor information. The
successful delivery of the program will require flexible, dynamic and outgoing
individuals who enjoy interacting with the public.
Ideal qualifications for the Heritage Interpreter/Guide are:
- be fluently bilingual in both official languages (English and French);
- have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills;
- have completed Grade 11, preferably with an interest in history or archeology, and be returning to
full-time studies in the fall of 2017;
- have some experience in dealing with the public, preferably in heritage
interpretation, or in tourism;
- be available for the full period of employment;
- be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays;
- wear a 1700s-style period costume uniform provided by Roma at Three Rivers.

Characteristics of the Brudenell/Montague/Three Rivers, PEI area:
The Jean Pierre Roma NHS is located in the Village of Brudenell in eastern PEI.
The area is a predominately rural area, characterized by mixed farms, woodlands
and small craft harbours supporting in-shore fishery. The largest towns near the
Roma site are Montague, www.townofmontague.com and Georgetown,
www.georgetown.ca. The Roma NHS is one of the predominant attractions for
visitors in the immediate area.
