Job Description: The Innovation Lab Facilitator is a member of the Science Education team working in the fun and challenging setting of the Discovery Centre’s hands-on Innovation Lab. As part of the team the Innovation Lab Facilitator is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for all Innovation Lab visitors, in particular francophone visitors. He/She will use both official languages to develop and deliver hands-on/minds on educational experiences in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) subjects, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and interaction with Innovation Lab activity stations and equipment. He/She will review and improve upon the programs available in French and will promote the use of French within the Innovation Lab.
Qualifications: One or a combination of education, science, engineering, arts, math, museum studies or a related field at a university level.
Experience in a museum, science centre or recreational setting is considered an asset. Experience in a front-line setting communicating with the public is required. Bilingualism in English and French (spoken) is required. Discovery Centre in an equal opportunity employer.
