Dauphin is a beautiful and historic community surrounded by natural resources and major amenities. The kids summer program is housed in the Watson Art Centre, which is a provincially designated heritage building that is home to the art community. Originally a town hall, the Watson Art Centre was built in 1905 and has been lovingly cared for by the Dauphin & District Allied Arts Council (DDAAC) since 1972 when it was saved from demolition.

Wage: $12/hour

8 hours per day

Term: June 5 to August 18, 2017

The successful candidate will develop and deliver a 6-week summer kids program geared for children aged 5 – 12. The program will incorporate art/craft activities that combine hands-on making, culture and heritage outings, physical activity, and healthy snacks all in Dauphin’s oldest inhabited building, the beautiful Watson Art Centre. The candidate should have an interest and education in either the arts or education disciplines. Driver’s license and First Aid required. Criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry check required. Basic French is required.
