A summer position funded by Young Canada Works for a Communications Assistant is available with the Association Heritage New Brunswick (AHNB). The ideal candidate will have basic computer such as Microsoft Office, web design and maintenance skills. They will be enrolled in an academic program in the humanities or social sciences, or in college level web design or communication program. They will have experience in researching on the internet and strong writing skills. They will be able to work independently and able to meet established goals and targets.
Duties will include:
Identify, review and assess web pages that promote heritage particularly sites of like provincial organizations. Survey AHNB board members and membership re specific and general content to be added to the website and links to be included and compile and organize and analyze proposals received. Update website and develop procedures for mounting content to the web site, develop timetable and procedures for regular web review and updating.
Administrative duties as required – reception, regular web updating, assisting with newsletter and alerts, promotional and other duties related to annual conference.
The deadline for applications is May 1, 2017 and applications should be sent to info@amnb.ca. The work period runs from May 15 to August 11. The salary is $12.00 hourly for a 37.5 hour week. The place of work is 163 St John Street, Fredericton. AHNB is an equal opportunity employer.
